Job summary

Donatelle in New Brighton, MN is seeking a capable Shipping/Receiving Associate to manage daily logistics tasks, from preparing orders to verifying shipments and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities include posting charges, forwarding invoices, receiving shipments, labeling chemicals with SDS, packaging outgoing orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy through MRPs and cycle counts.

A forklift license and valid driver's license are preferred; at least one year in shipping/receiving is

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Post shipping charges and send invoices to Accounts Payable.
• Prepare production and non-production orders for shipment.
• Adhere to scheduled carrier pick-up times.
• Receive shipments, check accuracy and direct to proper area.
• Notify departments of received shipments.
• Report damaged items and shortages.
• Label incoming chemicals and verify SDS are on file.
• Assist packaging of outgoing orders.
• Ensure paperwork for shipments is complete (certificates, labeling).
• Log MRP transactions adjusting inventory.
• Perform inventory counts and adjust in IQ.
• Support cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Follow all work instructions.
• Drive company van for occasional pickups/deliveries.
• Protect confidential information and IP.
• Follow safety rules in the safety manual.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $16.00 - $21.00 Hourly

Overview of Responsibilities:

Shipping Responsibilities

• Post shipping charges and destination on delivery services and forwards invoices to Accounts Payable
• Assist in preparing production and non-production orders for shipment
• Adhere to scheduled carriers/couriers order pick-up times

Receiving Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verifies for correctness, checks for damage, and directs goods to the proper area of the department
• Notify departments of received shipments
• Report damaged products and shortages to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
• Label incoming chemicals or any other hazardous materials and verify Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are on file prior to distributing chemical to the appropriate department

Packaging Responsibilities

• Assist with packaging of outgoing orders
• Verify orders are packaged correctly per work instructions and completes all necessary paperwork for shipments including certificate of compliance, labeling and final packaging

Inventory Management Responsibilities

• Log all Material Requirement Planning (MRP) transactions which adjust inventory to reflect shipments, receipts, count adjustments and packaging use
• Perform inventory count verifications and adjusts in IQ as needed
• Assist with Cycle Counts and adjusts inventory in IQ as necessary

General Responsibilities

• Follow all Part Specific Work Instructions as written
• Drive company van or personal vehicle, if available, for occasional pick-ups or deliveries
• Responsibility to protect Donatelle confidential information and Intellectual Property
• Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience in Shipping and Receiving

Other Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Fork lift license/certificate or ability to obtain such a license
• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 60 pounds
• Lifting above shoulder level
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Walking an climbing stairs

Pay: $16-$21/HR
