Job summary

SAM Nutrition in Minnesota is seeking an energetic Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced warehouse team. You will handle loading and unloading, inventory counts, and maintain safe operation of equipment in daily processes.

We expect attention to detail, a valid forklift certification, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You will work with Kuebix, NetSuite and RF Smart systems to track product movement and ensure food safety standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience as Forklift Operator.
  • Attention to Detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Equipment and safe operation.
  • Excellent Physical Condition and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid Forklift Certification required.
  • Food/Feed Safety awareness and practices.
  • Inventory Control and stock movement reporting.
  • Strong ability to analyze information and document processes.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Checking for damaged goods.
  • Staying aware of possible hazards.
  • Maintaining forklift and other equipment.
  • Recording data about the products they are moving.
  • Comply with internal food safety policies and guidelines.
  • Comply with HACCP and related safety plans.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Performs special projects (reworking/repalletizing 50 LB bags).
  • Obtain product knowledge on warehouse materials.
  • Responsible for weekly inventory counts.
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them.
  • Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Inspect machinery to determine repairs and ensure safety.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Checking for damaged goods
  • Staying aware of possible hazards
  • Maintaining forklift and other equipment
  • Recording data about the products they are moving
  • Comply with SAM Nutrition's internal food safety policies, as well as Responsible Importer Guidelines.
  • Comply with Food Safety Plan set forth by state, federal, and 3rd party (HACCP, FAMI-QS, SF/SF etc.) guidelines.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Performs special projects (Reworking/repalletizing 50 LB bags)
  • Obtain product knowledge on the material in the warehouse
  • Responsible for performing weekly inventory counts
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
