Job summary

Summit Electric Supply is seeking an entry-level Warehouse Associate to support materials receiving, order picking, and inventory tasks. You will learn product knowledge, assist sales staff, and contribute to timely order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities include receiving shipments, stocking inventory, pulling tickets, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while following company procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Time management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.

Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor or another Manager

Customers served: External – All Summit customers; Internal – Any member of the Summit team

Role Summary

Summit’s warehouse associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers’ needs for materials and services by receiving in new material from our vendors, picking customer’s orders for will call or delivery, and participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices. This role is Summit’s entry level branch position and an excellent role to be introduced to the business and learn skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities at Summit.

Principle Accountabilities

• Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.

• Load and unload Summit trucks.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Beneficial Skills And Experience

• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Aptitude for learning

Physical Challenges

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment
