Afternoon Shift (United States of America) – M-F 12pm to 8pm

Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within establishments, performing the following duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.

Qualifications

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning: Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; handle problems involving a few concrete variables.
• Bilingual in Spanish helpful but not required.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, and high or precarious places. Noise level is usually loud.

Compensation

PayRange: $21.00 per hour
