Job summary

Hpc-Fire-Inspired in Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Associate to keep the warehouse clean and organized, pull parts for production, and ensure BOM accuracy. You may operate forklifts and pallet jacks and participate in 2 Second Lean improvements.

Responsibilities include safety, inventory checks, labeling, cycle counts, and collaboration with the production planner. The role involves physical work, handling up to 70 lbs and moving throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–5 years in production/warehouse environment.
  • ERP software experience preferred.
  • Ability to read packaging lists and sales orders.
  • Proficiency in locating inventory parts by part number.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety procedures and standards in the warehouse.
  • Verify incoming/outgoing material and quantities are accurate.
  • Ensure BOMs match before delivering to production.
  • Label product, bins and racks properly.
  • Inform staff of shortages in materials or packing supplies.
  • Load/unload material using forklift or pallet jack.
  • Report defects to the supervisor.
  • Perform weekly reviews of packaging material.
  • Collaborate with production planner to pull items for production.
  • Participate in 2 Second Lean program to drive improvements and cost savings.
  • Maintain housekeeping in warehouse and dock areas.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job description

Basic Function: The Warehouse Associate will ensure the warehouse is kept clean and organized, ensure parts are pulled and delivered to production stations, put inventory in proper bin locations and perform cycle counting functions as needed. Must have ability to operate forklift or other type of warehouse equipment. Ensures that THE CUSTOMER IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY and each employee must support that priority. Utilizes 2 second lean tools to drive continuous improvement. Keeps area clean and organized daily.


Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Ensure safety procedures and standards are followed in the warehouse.

  • Verify all incoming/outgoing material and quantities are accurate.

  • Verify all components pulled match Bills of Materials (BOM’s) before delivering to production.

  • Make sure all product, bins and racks are properly labeled.

  • Inform purchasing and inventory staff members of any material or packing supply shortages.

  • Load/Unload incoming or outgoing material using necessary equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

  • Report defective material or questionable condition to the department supervisor

  • Perform weekly reviews on packaging material and report needed material to purchasing.

  • Work closely with the production planner and supervisor to determine items to be pulled for production.

  • Participate in the 2 Second Lean program to support continuous improvement and cost savings.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the warehouse and dock areas.

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition

  • Perform inventory cycle counts as needed or instructed.

  • Performs other duties as required


Qualifications and Required Skills:



  • Education:

    • Required a high school diploma or equivalent experience



  • Experience:

    • 2 to 5 years’ experience in production/ warehouse environment

    • Experience working in ERP software preferred



  • Skill, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to work independently.

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position requires accuracy and flexibility.

    • Ability to read and understand packaging lists (assembly instructions) and sales orders.

    • Proficiency in locating and identifying inventory parts by part number to complete the assembly process



  • Physical:

    • Body Positions: Requires walking activities throughout the day to retrieve parts and lift boxes

    • Body Movements: use of hands, eyes, arms, voice, and ears

    • Carry boxes or packages up to 70lbs with the possible more from time to time

    • Ability to climb warehouse ladders to retrieve/put away parts
