Job summary

Covia is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support the Production team at the McIntyre, GA location. The role emphasizes safety, accurate loading, pallet handling, and collaboration with the Choice Bagging operator to prepare and ship orders.

The ideal candidate will understand the plant flow, be able to work in a team, and commit to safety practices, with opportunities to train in other functions as needed. Covia offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
  • Literacy in English both verbally and written.
  • Safety awareness and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: perform job in a safe and timely manner per policies.
  • Operate forklift safely and conduct pre-shift checks.
  • Move pallets to designated storage while maintaining product integrity.
  • Load trucks and containers with customer orders and pallets.
  • Prepare jobs with the Choice Bagging operator and set up orders.
  • Be flexible and train on other functions as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; manage priorities.
  • Understand plant flow and equipment purpose.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Covia is looking for a dynamicWarehouse Associate (Warehouseman)who will have a positive impact on theProductionteam at itsMcIntyre, GAlocation.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

  • Safety: Perform each and every job in a safe and timely manner. Full adherence to all corporate and site safety policies.
  • Mobile Equipment Operation: Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner. Ability to perform routine pre-shift equipment checks and report any issues immediately.
  • Organization: Ability to move completed pallets of material to designated storage areas in a manner that conforms with existing procedures so that it can be easily retrieved and maintain product integrity.
  • Load Trucks and Containers: Ability to interface with drivers to accurately load customer orders. Ability to safely load pallets to prevent equipment or product damage.
  • Job order prep: Ability to work with Choice Bagging operator to load pallets into an automated feeder, set up orders in the system, and supply pallets of bags for the Choice Bagging operator.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to train on other job functions and fill in as necessary.
  • Housekeeping: Ability to keep a work area and completed job clean.
  • Work productively and ability to arrange priorities.
  • Understand the plants’ basic flow sheet and purpose of each piece of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Literacy in English both verbally and written
  • Previous experience in the mining industry preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety in identifying and managing risks
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team and take directions
