Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Associate performs all shipping and receiving activities for a Branch location. This role ensures the customer receives the correct items in a timely manner and all stocked merchandise is properly maintained.

Job Duties

1. Determine which items need to be picked, checked, and shipped from sales orders.
2. Pull orders accordingly and recheck them to ensure accuracy.
3. Prepare items for delivery to customers.
4. Secure packages to prevent damage during shipping.
5. Prepare customer returns for shipment back to the Distribution Center, Fulfillment Center, or supplier.
6. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established organization codes.
7. Report any damaged inventory or items not up to standards to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
9. May deliver items to customers and obtain signatures to validate receipt.
10. May process counter sales or invoices.
11. May operate a forklift or similar equipment.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Receive items in the computer system to show availability for customers.

Education & Experience

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to move up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Licenses & Certifications

• May need certification to operate a forklift.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
