Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our VALUES-based organization. Responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to focus on:

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  1. Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) to complete tasks including loading, unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting materials.
  2. Band, wrap, and tape products as needed.
  3. Maintain the condition of the warehouse work area, keeping it free of trash, ensuring products are correctly located and organized, and floors are swept.
  4. Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees to complete workload.
  5. Provide outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and completing work timely.
  6. Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track-and-trace issues.
  7. Read and understand tickets and product codes.
  8. Learn to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
  9. Read a tape measure accurately.
  10. Pull daily orders accurately.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
  12. PIT experience is preferred.

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber experience is preferred.
  3. Forklift experience and certification are preferred but not required.
  4. Basic math and analytical skills are required.
  5. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  6. Self-starter, proactive, and able to take initiative.
