Job summary

Niagara Bottling in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to ensure the quality and efficiency of loading/unloading trailers and pallet handling. You will operate forklift or LGV, follow SOPs, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include receiving orders in WMS, coordinating with CSO for shipments, and documenting discrepancies while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience handling inbound/outbound warehouse operations.
  • Experience supervising people or projects preferred.

Warehouse Associate

The team member in this position is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the trailer loading/unloading to include the pallet handling process. The team member will operate a forklift or work with the LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) and handling system. This includes checking outbound trailers prior to loading, monitoring all LGV activity in the warehouse, following SOPs to maintain inventory accuracy, prepping loads for cross country shipments and customer requirements, while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment.

Essential Functions
LGV sites
  • Receive and process all inbound orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including raw materials, pallets, ingredients, and internal transfers.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for receiving, including compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) efficiently and accurately.
  • Validate new SKU's in the WMS to ensure proper storage and handling by the LGVs (Laser Guided Vehicles).
  • Clear blocked locations in WMS to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with CSO (Central Shipping Office) to ensure smooth flow of shipments in and out of the warehouse as per schedule.
  • Compile records by SKU, quantities, sub-inventories, and validate Oracle EBS, and WMS inventories against physical counts to investigate and adjust errors. Report reasons for discrepancies.
Non-LGV

Routine Tasks
  • Rebuilds damaged pallets prior to restock
  • Consolidates finished goods storage for maximum storage capabilities
  • Identifies, reports and observes quality issues with finished goods and RMS
  • Corrects product spills
  • Manually pulls pallets from production as needed
  • Supplies production with non-inventory items (glue, bags, labels etc.)
  • Clears up blocked locations in WMS
  • Will be required to operate a forklift when needed and unloads finished goods and raw material deliveries.
  • Facilitates the flow of information between logistics, production and sales to ensure timely and accurate service to customer base
  • Tests and monitors resin and spring water
  • Coordinates preload activities including inspecting trailers to ensure all loads are completed on time
  • Provides correct loading document/bills of lading and truck seals upon leaving the facility as needed
  • Maintains appropriate records and reports required for daily shipping and inventory control
  • Involvement in continued process improvement and cost reduction
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and safe warehouse
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Answers/makes phone calls using proper phone etiquette
  • Communicates with inside and outside contacts to ensure loading of trucks on time and troubleshoot any issues
  • Coordinates with transportation and production/scheduling to ensure all shipments are flowing in and out of warehouse as scheduled
  • Performs any task that is not deemed unreasonable or unsafe and is asked to be done by team member’s manager or supervisor
