Job summary

OneSource Distributors in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, and move materials, prepare shipments, and maintain inventory using Eclipse. This full-time role requires a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification after hire, safety awareness, and proficient data entry.

• Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment; Forklift cert required after hire.
• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, etc.
• Strong math skills for all units of measure; read invoices and packing slips.
• Strong communication skills; ability to present information to management, customers and staff.
• Problem-solving skills with data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging areas per each sales ticket.
• Assemble materials per work orders and verbal instructions.
• Collect and pick materials using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to maximize efficiency and reduce damage.
• Wrap, label, and mark material for identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging; ensure correct piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and secure cargo.
• Unload incoming shipments and prepare receiving documents.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Maintain clean work areas and operate equipment safely.
• Count, weigh, or measure items; compare against records; inspect for damage.

What you will do:

• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive the materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.
• Perform regular counting of inventory, including running off wire and inspecting items for damage.
• Communicate when supply inventory levels are low.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What you will bring:

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), or 2-4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate hand tools including wire cutting equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, ropes, knots, plastic wrap, and cargo dunnage used.
• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Strong communication skills. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• The typical environment for this position is in a warehouse.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Outdoor work exposed to elements and non-conditioned warehouse spaces.
• Able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
• Stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift (up to 100% of the time).
• Climb ladders safely, work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardous materials; clean and maintain a safe working environment.

Location: Kapolei, HI

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position and pays between $16.78 - $22.39 per hour.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within Hawaii. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
