Job summary

OneSource Distributors in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, and move materials, assemble orders, and prepare shipments. You will use Eclipse to verify picks and counts, operate a forklift, and maintain accurate receiving records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or 2–4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices with PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites per each sales ticket.
• Assemble materials and containers using work orders and verbal instructions.
• Pick customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment and secure cargo for transport.
• Wrap, label, and mark materials for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging and ensure correct piece counts.
• Load materials onto vehicles and secure cargo, then unload incoming shipments and prepare receiving documents.
• Document shipments and inventory changes in Eclipse.
• Maintain clean work areas and operate required equipment safely.
• Count, weigh, or measure items and compare with bills of lading; inspect for damage or shortages.
• Assist with inventory counts and communicate low stock levels.

What You Will Do:

• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive the materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area.
• Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.
• Perform regular counting of inventory, including running off wire and inspecting items for damage.
• Communicate when supply inventory levels are low.

What You Will Bring:

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), or 2-4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate hand tools including wire cutting equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, ropes, knots, plastic wrap, and cargo dunnage used.
• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Strong communication skills. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• The typical environment for this position is in a warehouse.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Outdoor work exposed to elements and non-conditioned warehouse spaces.
• Able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
• Stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift (up to 100% of the time).
• Climb ladders safely, work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardous materials; clean and maintain a safe working environment.

Location: Kapolei, HI

Salary Range: This is a non-exempt position and pays between $16.78 - $22.39 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within Hawaii. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
