Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations. Responsibilities include receiving freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials to stock locations, filling orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role involves coordinating with departments, carriers, and vendors, and ensuring safety and organization in the work area.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Receive and inspect incoming freight.
• Distribute materials to proper locations.
• Fill special orders and backorders.
• Follow up on receiving discrepancies and damages.
• Check, pack, and prepare materials for delivery.
• Coordinate deliveries, understanding truck routes and shipping options.
• Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety.
• Ensure inventory labels and locations are accurate.
• Maintain vehicle condition and logs.
• Operate equipment safely, adhering to safety regulations.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist customer service functions like order entry and returns.
• Deliver materials to customer sites if needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Report maintenance or security concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of work experience.
• Experience with warehouse distribution, forklift operation, and electrical products is a plus.
• If driving, must be at least 21, possess a valid license, and possibly a medical certification.
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is a plus.
