Job summary

XL Parts and The Parts House (TPH) a Marubeni Group in Houston, TX is seeking a warehouse associate to receive and stock automotive parts, and to assemble orders for packing or shipping.

You will read orders, transport materials, sort by criteria, and record quantities. A 0–3 year warehouse background with solid computer skills and basic shipping knowledge is expected; overtime may be required. Equal opportunity employer; background check and drug screen may apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock automotive parts efficiently.
• Read and determine items to move, gather, or distribute based on orders.
• Transport materials from receiving to storage or other areas.
• Sort and organize materials by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders and place on pallets, shelves, or for packing/shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open containers.
• Record received or distributed quantities.
• Weigh or count items to ensure compliance with standards.
• Use a computer for record-keeping.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and stock automotive parts efficiently.
• Q uickly read and determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed based on customer's order, shipping order, or requisition.
• T ransport materials from receiving areas to designated storage or other areas.
• S ort and organize materials based on predetermined criteria such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• A ssemble customer orders and place them on pallets, shelves, or convey them to packing or shipping departments.
• M ark materials with identifying information and open containers.
• Record received or distributed amounts of materials or items.
• Wei gh or count items to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Utilize computer for record-keeping.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
• Good to above-average computer skills
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred
• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements :

Employees can expect a standard 9-hour workday in a warehouse environment that includes tasks such as walking, squatting, and lifting. Physical requirements may involve demonstrating the ability to lift heavy objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
