Job summary

HireLevel is seeking a Packaging Operator in Hazelwood, MO to support the production of powdered materials. This temp-to-hire role offers a Monday–Friday shift from 6am to 2:30pm and pays $18 per hour, with overtime possible as needed.

You will set up and operate production equipment, assist with packaging, handle lifting up to 50 lbs, and follow OSHA/ANSI safety policies. Forklift experience is preferred, and data entry, stand/walk duties, and the ability to wear a respirator when required are

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and handle physical work.
• Ability to input data into a computer.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Experience driving a forklift preferred.
• Ability to wear respirator as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing and packaging powdered materials
• Adhere to safety management standards and OSHA/ANSI compliant policies
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work area
• Set up and operate production equipment, troubleshoot basic process faults, and make required adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Safely changeover, start-up, and shutdown all equipment in assigned work area. This could include grinding, packing, blending, or freeze-drying equipment
• Manually load ingredients into milling and blending equipment
• Palletize finished goods into totes for shipping
• Use forklift or walkie stacker to move material around facility, load, or unload trucks
