Job summary

Penn Veterinary Supply Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle order picking, verification, and materials handling using RF scanners. The position runs Monday through Friday, 10:30am - 7:30pm.

The role requires accuracy, ability to read orders and safety rules, and basic math. You will contribute to efficient warehouse operations and ensure parcels are prepared and shipped correctly while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, orders, and packing instructions.
• Able to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to use an RF scanner and computer.

Responsibilities

• Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moves materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Prepares parcels for mailing.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse; practices safe work habits.
• Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking orders, order verification, using RF scanner, and safely completing duties relating to materials handling. Candidates must be available to work a schedule from Monday through Friday, 10:30am - 7:30pm.
