Job summary

Northeastern Supply, Inc. in Glen Allen, VA is seeking an Entry Level Warehouse Associate responsible for receiving, storing, and processing shipments, picking, scanning, and staging orders for delivery or pickup. This full-time Branch position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand up to 8 hours, and obtain forklift certification if not already certified. Safety and reliability are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to learn; warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours daily.
• Able to frequently stoop, bend, and reach; work in variable indoor/outdoor temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup; track order status.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, conduct regular audits, and process returns accurately.
• Follow all special instructions pertaining to individual orders.
• Uphold the highest safety standards; comply with all legal and company safety policies.
• Identify hazardous conditions, report or correct unsafe situations, and enforce safety procedures.
• Operate a forklift and order picker safely and efficiently; maintain required certifications.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment safety checks; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Support team goals; treat coworkers with fairness, respect, and open communication.
• Participate actively in meetings and respond appropriately to direction from others.
• Build positive relationships and share information to help the team succeed.
• Follow established procedures to ensure accurate, high-quality, error-free work output.
• Maintain a strong, focused work pace; adapt positively to changing priorities.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations in the Employee Handbook.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate increases operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving, storing, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is essential to keeping orders moving — picking, scanning, and staging product for both pickup and delivery.
