Job summary

Powermatic Associates in Georgetown, TX seeks a Warehouse Associate to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensure accurate inventory, fulfill customer orders on time, and maintain a safe, organized facility. This role reports to the Operations Manager and works with the Leadership Team to support growth.

You will handle receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping; operate forklifts and pallet jacks; maintain accuracy and safety while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Use and terminology of requisitions, purchase orders, pick tickets and other warehouse documents.
  • Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
  • Proper methods of loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Basic math skills along with operation of a computer and assigned software.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • High degree of accuracy and strict attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and willing to challenge current ways of thinking.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize work assignments.
  • Welcome delivery trucks and unload shipments.
  • Inspect incoming stock for damages or defects.
  • Label, tag, and store inventory appropriately.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

Job description

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Associates will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Ensure that inventory is accurately managed, customer orders are fulfilled on time, and the warehouse remains organized and safe.
  • Support the efficient operation of a warehouse by handling key logistics tasks such as receiving, processing, storing, and shipping inventory.

This position will report directly to the Operations Manager and work with members of the Leadership Team to provide support for the continued growth of Powermatic Associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Working conditions

Powermatic Associates is a rapidly growing organization and as such our warehouse team must be very agile and be comfortable working in an evolving environment. The working condition for this position is primarily sedentary in an warehouse environment; experiences frequent interruptions; required to meet deadlines; requires visual concentration on detail, dexterity and precision. Typical work hours are M-F 8am-5pm.
