Job summary

Ingram Micro Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate, Configuration to assemble electronic and electro-mechanical products, solder, wire, and test according to specifications. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products per specifications.
  • Perform hand soldering, wiring, cable harnessing, and component installation.
  • Inspect assemblies to ensure fit, function, quality and tolerances.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct assembly defects and issues.
  • Disassemble, rework, repair, and reassemble products as needed to meet requirements.
  • Follow quality control, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assist with test kit assembly and preparation of related equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Associate, Configuration, you will assemble, wire, solder, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to established specifications and quality standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to product specifications, drawings, and established procedures.
  • Perform hand soldering, wiring, cable harnessing, and component installation using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, function, quality, and conformance to specified tolerances.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct assembly defects, malfunctions, and other technical issues.
  • Disassemble, rework, repair, and reassemble products as needed to meet quality and performance requirements.
  • Follow established quality control, safety, and manufacturing procedures throughout the assembly process.
  • Assist with the assembly and preparation of test kits and related equipment.
  • Perform packing, labeling, and other production support activities as required.
  • Work independently on moderately complex assignments, using sound judgment to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to less experienced employees.
  • Serve as a resource or informal team lead when needed, helping ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve issues and support production goals.
  • Recommend improvements to work methods, processes, and procedures to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant electronics, electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or technical experience; or an associate degree/two-year college degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with electronic assembly, electro‑mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, component installation, and cable harnessing.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures.
  • Experience identifying and troubleshooting assembly defects, equipment issues, and product malfunctions.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, tolerances, and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and determine appropriate methods for completing assignments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex technical issues.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple production and assembly activities as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $38,800.00 - $62,100.00 per year. The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
