Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with hoses and fittings is helpful but not required.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Able to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment with proper training.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training.
• Process pick tickets; pull materials; pack boxes; place orders in delivery area.
• Sort and place materials on racks and shelves according to standards.
• Maintain inventory by recording stock locations and discrepancies.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; ensure safety in the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse machinery with proper training.
• Store items in accessible locations in warehouse and stock rooms.
• Inspect stock items for wear or damages; report issues.
• Provide guidance to other warehouse staff.

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of functions that include picking and filling orders, measuring and cutting a variety of hoses, and managing/organizing stock in the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training
• Prepare orders by processing pick tickets; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains inventory by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials picked and noting discrepancies.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations neat; sweep and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Operate materials handling equipment with proper training
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to supervisors
• Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees

Experience, Education and Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Hose and Fittings product knowledge is preferred but not required. Basic mathematical skills required. Ability to read a tape measure preferred. Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the company’s goals. Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery.
• Communication: Good communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand tools, box cutters and tape dispensers.Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move object 10-50 lbs.Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
