Job summary

Stuart Hose & Pipe Co. in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick and fill orders, measure and cut hoses, and maintain stock in the warehouse.

The role requires operating warehouse equipment, lifting items up to 100 lbs, and following safety procedures to ensure a safe, efficient workspace. You will support team members and help keep products organized for timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Industry knowledge: Hose and Fittings product knowledge preferred but not required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Ability to read a tape measure preferred.
• Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the company’s goals.
• Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training.
• Prepare orders by processing pick tickets; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain inventory by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials picked and noting discrepancies.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations neat; sweep and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Operate materials handling equipment with proper training.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of functions that include picking and filling orders, measuring and cutting a variety of hoses, and managing/organizing stock in the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand tools, box cutters and tape dispensers. Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move object 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
