Job summary

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is hiring a Warehouse Associate for onsite work in Forestville, MD. You will help pull, pack, and ship orders, supporting inventory control and safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a warehouse setting, basic blueprint reading, and SAP experience. Strong Excel skills and English communication are important for coordination with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pulling orders and preparing them for shipment.
• Handle all shipping and receiving duties including unloading trucks and outbound shipments.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Perform computer functions to quality check, transfer, and pack orders in the system; order replacements when needed.
• Follow production processes and safe work practices; maintain a clean environment.
• Be flexible to relocate to another department as needed based on workflow.
• Contribute to a team with a positive attitude and good attendance.
• Load, unload, count, and label shipments; input into inventory system.
• Readiness to take on additional tasks as workflow requires.
• Learn tasks quickly and accurately with diligence and teamwork.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Responsible for pulling orders and preparing them for shipment.
• Handle all shipping and receiving duties including unloading trucks to receive inbound shipments and preparing outbound shipments.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Perform computer functions to systematically quality check, transfer, and pack each order in the system, as well as ordering replacement units, screens, or transfers when needed by production.
• Ability to understand and follow production process required
• Follow safe work practices including but not limited to proper use of machinery (identifying moving parts) and cleanliness (work area and machinery).
• Readiness to perform other job functions or relocate to another department based on lack of workflow or departmental need.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work with others in a team environment
• Flexibility regarding work schedule based on workflow demand.
• Receiving, picking, sorting, and labeling orders.
• Pack, fold, and arrange garments.
• Scanning shipping orders, and inputting into inventory system.
• Research and correct displaced, mislabeled, and missing products, perform replenishments, cycle counts, stock checks, and resolve inventory and order discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

• 1 - 2 years’ experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting
• Basic blueprint reading skills.
• Moderate understanding of quality control standards and techniques.
• 2 years in-depth SAP experience
• Learning tasks quickly is detailed, accurately driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellent attendance.
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently.
• Strong time management and attention to timelines.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
• Operational, Warehouse, Logistics or comparable experience preferred.
