Job summary

Electro-Matic, a SunSource company, is seeking a warehouse associate to efficiently manage the movement and storage of goods. You will work with scanners, packing slips, and shipping paperwork, ensuring accuracy and on-time order fulfillment.

The role involves receiving, parts pulling, shipping, and cycle counting, with safety as a priority in daily tasks. You may supervise seasonal staff and collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain organized, safe, and productive work areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage production orders, verifying paperwork matches the built item, closing and filing of production orders.
• Print packing slips for all sales orders, ensuring customer satisfaction by adhering to special shipping or packaging instructions
• Box and properly package sales orders.
• May print daily sales order shippers.
• Carry out tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
• Wear proper safety equipment and follow all safety codes.
• Keep areas safe, clean, and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Receiving: unload material, sort shipments, use handheld scanner, record discrepancies when needed.
• Parts Pull: locate and pull parts with handheld scanner, update inventory, maintain production order log.
• Shipping: process orders in shipping system, obtain freight quotes, pack and load for shipment.
• Cycle Count: conduct inventory checks, manage seasonal staff, resolve discrepancies.

Work Environment
Position is an indoor warehouse setting with moderate noise levels including voices, office equipment, and foot traffic sounds. Employee may interact with customers, sales representatives, and other internal departments.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring accurate movement and storage of goods in warehouse. May work on own or as part of a team. Routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as scanners, printers, trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Unload material, sort incoming truck shipments and identify \"rush\" material.
Use hand-held scanner to receive material, store correctly and write discrepancies when needed.
Perform bin and inventory adjustments of material with system software.
Must be able to monitor inbound materials and cross dock.
Package, label, consolidate and move inventory to keep warehouse neat and orderly.
Identify & label inventoried or requisition items.

Parts Pull

Parts Pull
Use hand-held scanner and printer to locate and pull parts.
Perform bin and inventory adjustments with system software.
Able to research and use deductive reasoning to locate misplaced material
Pull sales orders and production orders from start to completion.
Able to use cable spooler and cable cutter.
Package, label, consolidate and move inventory to keep warehouse neat and orderly.
Maintain Excel spreadsheet production order log.

Shipping

Shipping
Utilize system software for sales orders in shipping, transfers, inventory return, bin adjustments and bills of lading, etc.
Utilize Shipping software and functions related including, exports, pricing updates, manual shipments, end-of-day and any other tasks related to the daily shipment process.
Ability to obtain freight quotes
Must be able to monitor inbound materials and cross dock.
Use of hand-held scanner to pull material for assembly item shipments.
Use best practices to package material for shipment, including skids, signs, crates, displays and Use of foam machine.
Use company vehicle to move material to or from other company buildings.
Load/unload trucks via hi low or pallet jack.
Thorough understanding of hi low lift capacities.
Maintain Excel spreadsheet production order log.
Maintain shipping department supply requirements.

Cycle Count

Cycle Count
Familiar with system software in item master inquiry, sales & production orders, inventory allocations, adjustments of inventory, bin, serial and lots; as well as PO receipts, physical count process, cost and history transactions.
Familiar with system software reporting, including but not limited to, inventory cards and physical vs on hand reports.
Manage seasonal employees to accomplish cycle count recording during summer months.
Handle inventory projects as assigned.
Maintain the DISCREP bin, adjusting or locating material when appropriate.
Resolve inventory and cycle count discrepancies through research and interaction with various departments.
