The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in handling, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This includes accurately picking and scanning customer orders, loading and unloading materials using a forklift, and keeping the shipping warehouse neat and organized. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors, and typically involves handling items up to 16 feet in length.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift safely and according to company policies.
• Inspect the forklift at the beginning and end of each shift and report maintenance issues.
• Load materials onto trailers from the warehouse staging area, ensuring items are securely and correctly placed.
• Verify trailer contents against shipping documents and unload incoming materials like lumber.
• Keep the shipping warehouse clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Use a handheld scanner to accurately pick items from designated locations in the warehouse.
• Ensure customer orders are correctly picked, damage-free, and complete.
• Stack and wrap materials securely, label packages, and prepare them for shipping.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety rules, standard procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Attend safety meetings and complete other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
