Central Pet Distribution is hiring Warehouse Associates! Day shift Monday through Friday

Do you love pets and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Our growing company is seeking experienced warehouse associates to pull merchandise to complete orders from pick tickets, and load/unload trucks with pet supply products for delivery to pet retailers. Our Pet Distribution team collaborates to supply our customers with top brands like Nylabone, Kaytee, and Aqueon. Location:

Central Pet Distribution Center, 8550 Seward Rd, Ste 100, Fairfield, OH 45011

Shift Details:

Day Shift starting at 7:30 am until 4:00 pm or until finished, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday

Compensation:

Starting at $17.00/hr

Measures of Success:

1. Process transactions using RF technology and/or identify items on paper pick tickets based on bin location, part number, or description
2. Pick and package orders scheduled for shipment to ensure safe transport
3. Inspect merchandise to ensure quality
4. Apply bills of lading for outbound shipments
5. Verify counts of incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices and records
6. Receive incoming goods by unloading trucks and prepare outgoing shipments as needed
7. Assist with cycle counts in inventory
8. Meet production, quality, and accuracy standards; work efficiently under pressure
9. Perform other duties as assigned
10. Provide training to other associates as needed
11. Maintain punctual attendance and work extended hours as operationally required
12. Flexibility to work in other areas and cross-train as needed
13. Maintain a safe and clean workplace following safety guidelines
14. Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers
15. Operate and be certified in electric pallet jack and/or order picker
16. Operate and be certified in standing reach truck/forklift

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

1. At least 1 year of related warehouse experience preferred
2. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
3. Ability to read, write, and do basic math in English
4. Forklift and RF scanner experience preferred
5. Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds safely
6. Ability to stand for long periods
7. Alertness and safety consciousness

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations
