SIGMA Equipment Co. in Evansville, IN is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join the Inventory Improvement Team. You will help receive, clean, present, photograph, document, and skid inbound equipment for sale or rent, and ensure accurate cataloging within the SIGMA warehouse.

The role requires strong work ethic, attention to detail, attendance, and preferably forklift experience; you will collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams on shipping, receiving, and equipment movement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prior warehousing or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Good communication with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Receive, clean, present, photograph, document and skid inbound equipment in the SIGMA Warehouse.
• Communicate effectively with the inventory improvement team.
• Move equipment safely through cataloging, cleaning and photography to its inventory location.
• Assist with shipping/receiving tasks; load and unload trucks.

The Warehouse Associate will be part of the Inventory Improvement Team maintaining all inbound equipment into SIGMA’s warehouse. This role will be responsible for initiating the beginning steps of getting equipment to its final destination in the existing SIGMA inventory (for sale/rent.) Coordination and collaboration with other members of the Inventory Improvement Team are key to the overall success of this role.*Incentive plan included with this position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Will work on a team to receive, clean, present, photograph, video, document and skid all inbound equipment within the SIGMA Warehouse
• Effectively communicate with all members of the inventory improvement team
• Responsible for the safe movement of equipment and associated paperwork from inbound trucks through the warehouse process of cataloging, cleaning, and photographing the equipment to it’s appropriate inventory warehouse location
• Work closely with the warehouse team & logistics in all shipping and receiving tasks as necessary; loading and unloading trucks

• Possess a strong work ethic, great attention to detail and have previous experience in a warehousing or manufacturing operation along with an outstanding attendance record
• Prior forklift experience is strongly preferred
• Required to use hand tools, read manufacturer’s manuals and drawings
• Ability to use the computer to enter information and upload documents and photographs; can pick up systems knowledge easily
• Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Physical/Travel Requirements:

• High school diploma is required
• Valid driver’s license required and have the physical ability to frequently lift over 50 pounds
• Ability to operate forklift
