Job summary

QXO in Des Moines is hiring a warehouse associate to operate forklifts and other equipment, load and unload materials, and maintain inventory accuracy. You will work outdoors in all weather, verify orders, and keep documentation up to date. A customer-first mindset and solid communication are essential.

Preferred experience with forklifts and warehouse tasks, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and readiness for early morning shifts. Spanish is a plus; reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials in warehouse and yard.
• Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets).
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including painting as needed.

What You'll Do

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials in warehouse and yard
• Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets)
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
• Preserve safe and clean work environment which includes cleaning and painting
