The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse by receiving, stocking, organizing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory accurately and efficiently. This role helps ensure inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and a safe, organized work environment while providing exceptional support to both internal and external customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness.
- Unload, label, and store incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments to the appropriate team member.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify item descriptions, quantities, and units of measure prior to shipment.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation and carrier labels as required.
- Load and unload company vehicles, parcel shipments, and freight deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, warehouse organization projects, and accurate inventory transactions within the inventory management system.
- Move, stage, stock, and organize inventory to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Work closely with warehouse, inventory, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through routine warehouse housekeeping, including sweeping, organizing pallets, disposing of debris, and maintaining storage areas.
- Promptly report safety hazards, equipment concerns, inventory issues, or workplace accidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred; ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and problemsolving skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 70 pounds.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Visual ability to read labels, shipping documents, and computer screens.
