Job summary

QXO is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse and yard operations by safely handling, organizing, and preparing building materials for customers and deliveries. You’ll operate forklifts and other equipment, maintain inventory, and help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

You’ll gain experience operating forklifts, work outdoors, verify order contents, inspect and track inventory, and follow safety protocols while wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment preferred.
• Commitment to delivering an outstanding experience to customers, vendors, coworkers.
• Strong safety, organization, and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a physically active warehouse and outdoors.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work early morning hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and yard
• Work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions
• Verify order contents and maintain accurate documentation, including pick tickets and inventory count sheets
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including general cleaning and painting as needed

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment; previous warehouse experience preferred
• Commitment to providing an outstanding experience to customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective verbal and written communication and a customer-first mindset
• Strong attention to safety, organization, and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a physically active warehouse and outdoor environment
• Reliable transportation to and from work and the ability to regularly work early morning hours
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
