Job summary

QXO is seeking a sheet metal fabrication worker in Clifton, NJ to collaborate with seasoned journeymen and foremen. You will measure, cut, and bend sheet metal, read blueprints, and operate brakes, shears, and welding machines while maintaining safety standards and PPE compliance.

You will join a team focused on quality workmanship, safety, and continuous training with opportunities for hands-on skills development and advancement in a growing building products distribution company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with journeymen and foremen to fabricate and assemble sheet metal products such as ducts and vents.
• Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal using various tools and machinery according to specifications.
• Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accuracy in project specs and material needs.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including brakes, shears, and welding machines.
• Perform general labor tasks like material handling, site cleanup, and equipment upkeep.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere to all safety protocols, wearing PPE.

What you'll do:
