Job summary

A leading automobile parts distributor in Virginia is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Associate to manage shipping and receiving tasks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and the ability to lift heavy packages. Responsibilities include packing and labeling materials, and assisting in the receiving department as needed. Attention to detail and effective communication are necessary. Warehouse Shipping Associate

Shipping Lead

Overall Responsibility

Record shipment data such as weight and dimensions; pulling, picking, packing outgoing shipments (including large items such as exhausts)

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing for long periods of time, frequent bending, frequent heavy lifting (50 lbs. +) climbing tall ladders

Non-Exempt

Key Job Duties

• Packing, sealing, and labeling materials for transport
• Using hand tools and/or power tools
• Assists in receiving department if necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
• Maintains regular and prompt attendance

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
