Summary

Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through various tasks and assignments.

Essential Functions

  • Accurately pull parts orders and package the order for shipment. Finish all orders from the day and use quality control process to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone and give great service while helping them.
  • Assemble hydraulic hoses for internal and external customers.
  • Move freight to designated staging area and prepare for the arrival of shuttle trucks.
  • Print backorder paperwork and review to ensure parts get to their correct destination.
  • Assist shuttle drivers with unloading and consolidation of freight.
  • Receive in parts back orders from the Atlanta shuttle and place all parts orders in their designated location whether it be will-call, drop, or shop hold bin.
  • Utilizes a Personal Computer, specifically DBSi applications, to perform different warehouse functions.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Promote safety through own work habits.
  • Works to ensure departmental compliance with all safety and contamination control guidelines.
  • If noticed, this individual needs to report to supervisor any conditions that do not meet OSHA or Company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Self-Motivated
  • Customer Service Attitude
  • Have problem solving abilities
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Must have High School Diploma, or GED
  • Must read, write, communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must complete the in-house forklift-training program

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Must have basic keyboarding skills

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and ability to perform these operations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee must operate equipment in a safe manner.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
