Organizational Position

The Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate will assist the Warehouse Manager in everything pertaining to shipping, receiving, supplies, consumables, daily installation tasks, and building/fleet maintenance.

Essential Functions AND KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Shipping and Receiving:

• Review Bill of Ladings and packing slips for accuracy.
• Verify the quantity and correctness of incoming materials (bulk cases, any incoming count for correctness) against bills of lading and document any discrepancies.
• Notify Warehouse Manager of any discrepancy in material or documentation.
• Route incoming goods to the proper departments.
• Give/email completed packing lists to Purchasing.

Supplies/Consumables:

• Perform periodic physical inventory counts.
• Ensure all trucks are outfitted with all tools.
• Ration out consumables from locked compartments.

Daily Installations:

• Stage paperwork and properly identified products for the next day in designated staging areas.
• Provide tools, materials and needed supplies.
• Deliver parts/supplies to job sites, as needed.

Building Maintenance/Fleet Management:

• Perform light building maintenance throughout facility as need or instructed.
• Remove snow/ice from parking lots, sidewalks and steps as needed.
• Keep warehouse neat, clean, and organized.

LEAN/6S:

• Participate in LEAN Rapid Improvement Events involving Warehouse operations, 6S, and Inventory Management Systems.

Additional:

• Overtime is common in this position.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADAAA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

What Success Looks Like

The Warehouse Associate must take extreme ownership of the warehouse at the local branch and work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the Regional Operations team has the support they need to successfully install one day jobs. They will need to take a default aggressive approach to accomplishing the tasks within the prescribed parameters. Success will be best measured through the ability to support the Warehouse Manager and the Regional Operations team, allowing the team to hit their installed revenue targets every month.

• The standard workweek for this position is Monday – Friday, in office and in the field.
• Must be able to sit and use office equipment (computer, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, up to 75 lbs. frequently, and sometimes more than 75 lbs.
• Must be able to wear all Company required Personal Protective Equipment pursuant to Company procedures.
• Must be able to drive [personal/company] vehicle to and from job/appointment sites.
• Ability to maintain driver’s license and be insured under company policy.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and very high or low temperatures.
• Ability to work in customer homes at various locations in a 90-mile radius from the business address.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with shipping and receiving preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions related directly to job functions.
