Job summary

Lansing Building Products, LLC in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support customers by receiving, loading, and shipping building materials. The role uses handheld RF scanners to manage inventory and ensure accuracy of orders and shipments.

You will lift up to 70 lbs, operate heavy equipment as needed, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. Schedule typically 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with limited weekend work; CDL reimbursement and pre-payment programs are available for

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred).
• High integrity and high energy.
• Experience in building products or warehouse environments.
• Ability to work in a team and with customers.
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing 70+ lbs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to new processes.

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload customer and company trucks
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our Warehouse Management System (TWL)
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Lift and move boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly

Qualifications:

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business
• Strong, positive attitude

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
