Job summary

Carolina Cat is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storing, and distributing materials across our operations. You will work with SAP and other inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking, timely fulfillment, and safe handling.

Ideal candidates are organized, able to lift up to 25 pounds, and comfortable collaborating with sales, service, and production teams to meet material deadlines. We offer a team-oriented environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
  • SAP or other warehouse management systems experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving Materials: Unload shipments, verify contents against invoices, inspect for damage, and complete Goods Receipt in SAP.
  • Storing Materials: Organize and label inventory in designated locations; maintain documentation of item placement.
  • Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate records; assist audits.
  • Material Distribution: Pick and stage materials for production or shipment; deliver to departments and communicate completion.
  • Shipping & Packing: Package finished goods, generate shipping labels, assist outbound coordination.
  • Operating Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks; perform safety checks.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area; follow safety protocols.
  • Additional Duties: Issue purchase orders and track inbound shipments; collaborate with sales, service, and operations; support 5S and lean initiatives.

Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials to support operations across the company. This role involves working with SAP and other inventory systems to ensure accurate material tracking, timely order fulfillment, and safe handling procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment.

Essential Functions
  • Receiving Materials: Unload shipments, verify contents against invoices, inspect for damage, and complete Goods Receipt transactions in SAP.
  • Storing Materials: Organize and label inventory in designated storage locations (racks, shelves, or bins); maintain proper documentation of item placement.
  • Inventory Management: Perform routine cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Material Distribution: Pick and stage materials for production or shipment. Deliver items to proper departments and communicate delivery completion to internal partners.
  • Shipping & Packing: Package finished goods, generate shipping labels and documentation, and assist with outbound shipment coordination.
  • Operating Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Perform daily equipment safety checks and report issues.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Follow all safety protocols and immediately report unsafe conditions.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Issue purchase orders and assist with tracking inbound shipments.
    • Collaborate with internal departments including sales, service, and operations to meet material deadlines.
    • Support process improvement initiatives such as 5S and lean practices.
    • Other duties as assigned.
