Job summary

Bosch Charleston, part of a global network, is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklift and related equipment, ship and receive materials, and deliver to production lines on an hourly basis. You will support daily production goals and demonstrate strong teamwork and customer focus.

This role requires basic computer skills, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Bosch offers competitive pay and extensive benefits onsite.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, tugger, and electric pallet jacks; ship, receive and deliver materials to production lines hourly.
• Use systems to prepare and send final products to customers.
• Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements.
• Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Conduct inventory inspections and audits to specification.
• Maintain charts, logbooks and databases as required.
• Maintain accurate finished goods traceability and documentation.
• Resolve equipment or systems issues and coordinate with other associates.

Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Operates industrial equipment (forklift, tugger, electric pallet jacks), ships, receives and delivers material to product lines on an hourly basis (or faster)*. You will be required to display a high level of associate involvement and teamwork to provide continuous improvement ideas and demonstrate strong customer focus.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates industrial equipment (forklift, tugger, electric pallet jacks), ships, receives and delivers material to product lines on an hourly basis (or faster).*
• Uses systems to prepare and send final products to customers.
• Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements
• Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly *
• Conduct inventory and component inspections and/or audit to specification, as required
• Maintain charts, logbooks, databases, as required
• Perform and maintain accurate finished goods traceability
• Maintains Visual Management Boards, databases and other miscellaneous records required.
• Informs and works with appropriate associates to resolve any issue with equipment, components or systems.
• Identifies, counts, transfers, and store components using current inventory systems.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position reports to First Line Manager.

INTERACTION

This position interacts with various carriers, suppliers, and customers as well as other internal departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with supervision and other personnel
• Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
• Demonstrates self-initiative
