Job summary

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving duties including unloading and processing items.
• Move, store and transfer materials and merchandise as needed.
• Maintain organized stock on shelves and in the proper locations.
• Assist customers by displaying merchandise and suggesting items.
• Explain features of parts and make needs-based recommendations.
• Alert management to inventory issues or customer concerns.
• Assemble and build hoses to specifications and standards.
• Uphold environmental health and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary:Receives, organizes, stores, pulls and ships merchandise/supplies used to fulfill customer orders. Assemble and build industrial and hydraulic hose upon receiving proper training and guidance. Assist customers on Bridgestone HosePower’s retail counter with guidance, hose repair and order processing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Shipping and receiving, including unloading and processing of itemsMove, store and transfer materials, supplies and merchandise in and around warehouseMaintain stock in an organized fashion on shelves or in proper locationsDisplays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utilityDiscusses use and features of various parts; able to make recommendations based on needsResolves or alerts management regarding inventory issues or customer concernsAssemble and build industrial and hydraulic hose to appropriate specifications and standardsUpholds environmental health and safety standardsPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Prior experience in an industrial or hydraulic warehouse settingAbility to operate a forklift.Ability to lift/move product weighing more than 50 pounds.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Ability to complete transactions with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to manage time and complete assigned tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.Ability to effectively interact with staff and vendors.Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in oral and written format.
