Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate II is an intermediate level warehouse position, performing a wide variety of warehouse duties including receiving incoming product, managing assembly work orders, picking and packing high dollar orders, handling high dollar returns, and shipping both domestic and international orders. In execution of these functions, the Associate will use intermediate computer skills. The Associate will maintain flexibility to support across the warehouse operations as business needs require. The Associate is accountable for meeting department performance metrics and actively contributing to the department's continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities

General

  • Perform all Warehouse Associate I functions as needed.
  • Support all warehouse functions as directed.
  • Specialize as assigned in the areas below.
  • Perform regular inventory control functions including adjustments, transfers, requisitions.
  • Perform basic order control duties including processing, printing, sorting and tracking customer orders.
  • Process customer returns using established procedures.
  • Assist in training new and existing fulfillment staff.

Receiving

  • Accurately verify receipts, inspect the quality of incoming products, document and enter all receipts into computerized inventory system.

Assembly

  • Manage assembly POs by picking, kitting, inspecting, closing work orders and locating products on the shelf.

Pick, Bag, Pack

  • Pick and verify high dollar products for customer orders, liquidation, requisitions and/or vendor returns.

Shipping

  • Scan and ship all varieties of domestic and international orders through UPS, Fed Ex and USPS software

  • Ensure the confidentiality of all company information, including business, product and customer information.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts, bringing forward ideas for improvement in department and overall company operations.

Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a distribution/warehouse environment is required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.
  • Must be able to operate and communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive functions.
  • Requires flexibility in work schedule, including working overtime as business volume and departmental needs require.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
