Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator in Buda, TX to receive, store, move, pick, stage, and ship materials while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized warehouse. The role regularly operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to support production and customer deliveries.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using a Warehouse Management System to scan transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience using RF scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and/or reach forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Scan all inventory transactions accurately using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Perform inventory transfers, cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper stock rotation.
• Supply raw materials and finished goods to production as required.
• Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S and good housekeeping practices.
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or process issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with warehouse organization, labeling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work overtime and weekends as required to meet business needs.
