Foundation Building Materials in Bakersfield, California is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to provide exceptional customer service and maintain warehouse operations. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and moving materials, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, and participating in training programs.

The ideal candidate should have warehouse experience and a high school diploma or GED. Benefits include competitive pay of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Product Knowledge
  • Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
  • Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
  • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform minor building maintenance when necessary
  • Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
  • Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse
  • Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc
• Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories
• Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
• Trainings
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Qualifications
