Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Warehouse Associate position at our Austin, TX branch. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, putting-away, picking, and staging equipment and parts while providing professional customer service to internal and external customers. The role involves managing the movement of materials within the warehouse and maintaining overall appearance and safety compliance.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate forklift and warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer materials without causing damage.
  • Receive items per procedure and stock in assigned locations.
  • Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts.
  • Complete Will Calls and ensure accurate paperwork and transaction entries.
  • Always wear proper PPE and uniform during shifts.
  • Follow safety procedures, including forklift inspections, and report concerns immediately.
  • Assist customers and CSRs as needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, work processes, and company policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Nature & Scope:

  • Possesses broad theoretical job knowledge.
  • Work is structured with no discretion to deviate from established procedures.
  • Work is closely supervised; problems are generally not complex.
  • Explains facts, policies, and practices related to the job area.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and surroundings.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reports, and orders.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Ability to pass Prove It and driving tests; forklift certification within 30 days.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to establish positive relationships.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

People management: No.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.

Reports To:

  • Warehouse Manager.
