Job summary

Workplace Elements in Aurora, CO is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Slate studio. This full-time, on-site role supports receiving, inventory, and material staging for installation teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with warehouse and installation teams to manage priorities.
  • Deliver materials to job sites using company vehicles (24-ft box trucks, vans).
  • Stay informed via warehouse calendar, email, and Teams for schedules and updates.
  • Follow safety policies; wear PPE (safety vest, boots).

About the role:

As a Warehouse Associate in our Slate studio, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by receiving and inspecting deliveries, organizing inventory, and staging materials for our installation teams. This is a hands-on, physically active role in a fast-paced warehouse environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills, support multiple teams, and make a visible impact every day. What you’ll do:
  • Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices, reporting any damaged or missing items promptly.
  • Organize, label, store, handle, and transport materials safely, including fragile or hazardous items, in designated warehouse locations following warehouse procedures.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling materials accurately according to project and customer requirements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by managing inventory layout, keeping aisleways clear, and supporting efficient studio operations.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse and installation teams to manage priorities, adapt to changing schedules, and keep materials moving efficiently.
  • Deliver materials to job sites as needed using company vehicles, including 24-foot box trucks and cargo vans.
  • Stay informed by reviewing the warehouse calendar and regularly checking email and Microsoft Teams for schedules, priorities, and updates.
  • Follow all safety policies and regulations while in the warehouse, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and work boots at all times.
Requirements
Who you are:
  • 2+ years of prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with furniture installation experience highly preferred.
  • Highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset to support internal teams.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, staging materials, unloading deliveries, and occasional site work.
  • Reach forklift experience (preferred) and willingness to obtain certification through company training.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.), plus a willingness to learn new software systems that support inventory management and order processing (e.g., SnapTracker and Hedberg). Experience with QR scanners is a plus.
  • Dependable and punctual, with consistent attendance and commitment to scheduled hours.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a positive attitude, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurance carrier's requirements for occasional use of company vehicles.
Work Environment:

This full-time role is based on-site at our warehouse in Aurora, CO, and requires in-person presence Monday through Friday. Standard operating hours are generally from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, and overtime opportunities may be offered based on operational needs. Occasional travel to the downtown Denver office is required for company meetings and events.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. You’ll spend much of your day standing, walking, and driving a forklift as part of warehouse operations, and you’ll need the flexibility to bend, stoop, crouch, or kneel to handle items stored on lower shelves or in tight spaces. Good hand-eye coordination is important to safely and efficiently perform these tasks.

Compensation:

$21.00 - $27.00 per hour
