What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The team ensures the efficient flow of products from receipt from vendors to shipment to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  • Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including pallet jacks, clamp trucks, sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment as necessary for duties such as unloading freight, order picking, pallet load-out, and stock put-away
  • Operation of automated pallet wrapping machine
  • Aisle audits
  • Processing small package shipments
  • Manual pallet wrapping with shrink wrap
  • Maintaining and improving housekeeping standards
  • Assembly of corrugated Gaylords and manual banding of shipments
  • Following proper documentation practices
  • Meeting or exceeding standards for quality, safety, attendance, and productivity
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Good written communication skills preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
