Job summary

Mid-Atlantic-Roofing-Suppl is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Knoxville, TN facility. This full-time role focuses on inventory control, shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining accurate records.

The candidate must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• MUST be a team player.
• 1+ years of warehouse and forklift experience. Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to operate GPS, an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• Customer service skills and ability to represent the company in an appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the rotation of inventory within the warehouse by preparing shipments, stage and verify incoming material, and use powered industrial equipment (forklift, hand-crane, pallet jack, shrink wrap machine, etc.)
• Load and unload goods to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles in an organized and efficient manner
• Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered
• Properly use Timekeeping App to ensure appropriate and accurate time-management
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company's safe lifting practices and standard operating procedures
• Ensure that all safety procedures remain a priority by maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification
