Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Summary Of Position

Warehouse team members are required to work safely and efficiently. Following Job Safety guidelines and Equipment Training guidelines. Participate in the creation of and following the Job Instructions (JI’s) for the warehouse tasks. The team member position requires communicating respectfully with peers and leaders within the department and the company. Team members are encouraged and empowered to speak up about problems and are expected to contribute to solutions.

Responsibilities

Position Duties and Responsibilities Included but not limited to

• Execute the processes that result in “on time” inbound and outbound flow to internal and external customers.
• Follow the break time, lunchtime, and warm-up schedule and expectations.
• Punch in on time, communicate with leadership if running late, and get dressed for work 10 minutes after punch-in time.
• Communicate to Warehouse leadership about operational, equipment, and unsafe conditions through in-person conversation.
• Follow all department and company food safety and HAACP regulations.
• Assist in accident investigations as needed.
• Participate in department team huddles.
• Adjust start times (up to 2 hours) as needed with reasonable notice to support the warehouse twenty-four hours of operation.
• All Team Members are encouraged to develop their knowledge of all warehouse primary tasks continually.
• Warehouse team members are required to follow all department and building Job Instructions (JI), safety, and housekeeping guidelines.
• Support the initiatives and guidelines outlined in the attached “Fortune Fish Gulf States Way” and the Fortune Handbook.
• Maintain cleanliness of office, kitchen, and locker room.
• Perform all the above duties in a timely, courteous manner with respect for all company personnel and property and report any concerns immediately to the company leader.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience – One to two years of related experience in food production and/or sanitation. Seafood experience preferred.
• Work ethic – A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Accuracy – Demonstrated ability to pack products in a timely fashion accurately. The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
• Language – Basic English speaking and written proficiency.
• Mathematical – Ability to perform basic arithmetic tasks – adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
• Environmental: Willingness to work in a cold climate or cold storage of 35º or below 0º.
• Schedule: Ability to work assigned shift schedule.
