Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our TEAM! As the Warehouse Associate we need someone who will own a variety of material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customers’ orders and conducting inventory checks. This position involves daily use of forklift equipment.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $16.35 - $20.20 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company-sponsored benefit programs.

Primary Objective

Performs a variety of material handling duties associated with the warehouse.

Major Function and Scope

1. Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
2. Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
3. Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom, and general office maintenance.
4. May wait on customers and prepare sales slips.
5. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
6. Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

1. High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Forklift Operator.
2. 3+ years previous warehouse experience preferred.

Basic math skills, organization skills, customer service skills, fluency in English, detail-oriented, and safety conscious.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may sit, climb, balance, talk, or hear. The associate must have the ability to regularly lift up to 15-30 lbs and at certain times, may be required to safely lift up to 70 lbs. Tile boxes or other material that are longer than 36 inches or more than 70 lbs. in weight require a team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
