Job summary

WestRock is seeking a Warehouse -- Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, loading and unloading, and inventory movements using forklifts. You will help maintain accuracy and timeliness of all material handling tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and warehouse/manufacturing exposure. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to follow schedules, and work well with teammates while adhering to safety

• Pick, stage and stock inventory using powered lift truck and barcode scanning.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
• Perform duties safely and monitor areas to ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety and GMP requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Warehouse -- Material Handler is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties including but not limited to; shipping and receiving, loading, and unloading products from trailer and moving it within the warehouse by carrying or lifting, as well as operating forklifts, stocking and storing warehouse inventory, and fulfilling transfer orders as necessary while ensuring accuracy and timelines of all job functions.

Primary responsibilities:

• Communicate with supervisor to determine production materials that will be needed for upcoming production requirements.
• Complete RF Transactions to ensure tracking and regulatory compliance.
• Operate a forklift in a safe and proficient manner
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers
• Pick, stage and stock inventory using a powered lift truck while utilizing barcode scanning technology to execute transactions.
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
• Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, safety and GMP requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management
