Qualifications

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Assistant - Truck Driver to join our Warehouse team located at our office in Charlotte, TN. Our ideal candidate for a Warehouse Assistant - Truck Driver is someone with 2 + years of experience in a similar role. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, has strong communication skills, and is passionate about customer service. This individual will be able to work within a team setting and possesses the ability to adapt to any situation.

Primary responsibilities for icon's Warehouse Assistant - Truck Driver include:

• Efficiently and safely operates a commercial truck to transport mechanical equipment ranging in size, including but not limited to HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, and related supplies.
• Loading, securing, and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safe transportation and delivery of equipment.
• Providing excellent customer service by delivering items professionally and courteously, promptly addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and representing the company positively.
• Communicating effectively with the warehouse, project managers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns that may occur.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including time of departure and arrival, and any incidents or delays that might arise.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper condition and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the warehouse manager immediately.
• Complying with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper handling and storage of equipment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Primary qualifications for icon's Warehouse Assistant - Truck Driver include:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid, current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• 2+ years of experience as a Truck Driver, preferably in a similar role involving the delivery of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining delivery records.
• Ability to follow directions and use GPS systems effectively.
• Time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by project schedules or delivery demands.
