Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervisingall Warehousestaff and the overall daily management of a designated shift.Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Create effective and efficientscheduleswhilemaintaininglabor costs, meeting staffingobjectives,and achieving guest satisfaction.
- Responsible forassistingin the budget process for the department andprovidingrecommendations; ensuring compliancetodepartmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
- Assistsinthe oversightprocess oftransferring and transporting all materials todesignatedlocations between and within all user departments such as office furniture, records, recycling,etc, on designated shift.
- Protects and preservesassets of the companywhile ona designatedshift.
- Assistswithinspection of incoming materials against order and specification for correctness and defects and arranges for return of defective material.
- Assistsinorderingneeded supplies and equipment, after gaining approval from manager, on designated shift.
- Ensuredesignatedshifts haveall necessary tools to complete tasks and that all equipment is in working order.
- AssistsinensuringOSHA standards are followed on designatedshifts.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, anddemonstratessuperior customer servicein accordance withdepartment and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievementofdepartmentcustomer service goals.
- Responsible for ensuringcompliancewith all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
- Associate\'s degree (A.A.) in related field; minimum of two years receiving/distribution or equivalent discipline experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previousexperience in receiving/distribution required.
- Must have knowledge of forklift and lift truck and receiving equipment.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to physically perform job duties of all Warehouse/Receiving teammembers,when emergencies arise.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must have the ability tooperatea manual and automatic transmission automobile.
- Ability towritereports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and thegeneral public.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests,staffand colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
