Job summary

Curbell is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support unloading, sorting, stocking, and picking in a fast-paced environment in Orchard Park, NY. You will stock materials, assemble orders, and deliver to shipping or production areas while maintaining orderly storage and accurate records.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 3 years in shipping/receiving or inventory management. Safety procedures and teamwork are essential customers and internal processes rely on your reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management or related.
• High School diploma or better required.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, sorting, and processing inbound goods receipts.
• Labeling, stocking, and put-away activities.
• Parts selection, order assembly, and delivery to shipping area.
• Order pulling, parts kitting, and delivery to production areas.
• Maintaining and replenishing point-of-use storage locations.
• Adhere to safety rules, PPE/ESD procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Assist in inventory discrepancy investigations.
• Rotate between Shipping and Receiving and support special projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Perform varied warehousing duties including: *Assisting in the unloading, sorting, processing inbound goods receipts *Performing labeling, stocking, and put-away activities *Parts selection, order assembly, and delivery directly to shipping area *Order pulling, parts kitting and delivery directly to production areas *Maintaining and replenishingpoint-of-use storage locations *Practicing excellent housekeeping, organization and safe handling practices *Assist in inventory discrepancy investigations *Scheduled rotation and operation in either Shipping or Receiving Departments *Active participation in special projects and assignments
• Maintains high quality service by strictly following organizational procedures and standards. Completes all necessary paperwork, and processes systems transactions in a timely and highly accurate manner. Demonstrates a strong desire to ensure compliance to required dates and proactively resolves potential roadblocks and concerns that risk noncompliance to date requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and well organized. *Maintains effective and safe materials storage requirements by continually sorting, segregating, cleaning, organizing and protecting goods in storage locations. *Compiles with all procedures, rules, and regulations for the safe and effective handling and storage of inventory including compliance to appropriate PPE and ESD handling procedures.
• Work effectively and efficiently in a cooperative team environment. Must be positive, flexible, willing and able to assist in all materials handling functions. Must communicate effectively to provide solutions to internal Customers in downstream, dependent processes.
