Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Warehouse Assistant in Smithfield, RI to support picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory control, ensuring orders move safely and accurately.

This direct-hire role requires at least 1 year of warehouse experience and forklift certification; duties include loading, unloading, stocking, labeling, and complying with safety procedures.

Shift is 8 AM–4:30 PM with a pay range of $22.00–$27.00 per hour; benefits vary by client and subject to offer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, shipping documents, and safety procedures.
• Willingness to complete company-sponsored warehouse, safety, and equipment training programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Load, unload, move, stage, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, process, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Label, stock, and store products on racks, shelves, and pallets using inventory procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
